JEAN STEPHENS

Hope After Care Director

Jean Stephens has been a Program Director with Hope-Net for the past 10 years.  She has an AA degree in Social Work, and a B.R.E. degree in both Bible & Psychology.

Jean has received advanced training to lead healing groups through Trauma Informed Care with the American Bible Society, and is licensed and ordained with the International Fellowship of Chaplains.

Her compassion for women re-starting their lives has grown even deeper as she’s served Hope-Net in partnership with Good News Jail & Prison Ministry in leading groups at the Pottawattamie County Jail.  Working with other staff and volunteers, she has developed support groups in Council Bluffs for several days each week, to help keep women focused on clean and Christ-centered living.

Jean and husband Bernie have 8 children and many grandchildren.

In her spare time she enjoys playing the piano and sewing, volunteering her piano skills at church.
