NICOLE BERENSMANN

Human Trafficking Program Director

Nicole is a survivor of human trafficking.  She works with Hope-Net as a Women’s Advocate Intern, in a wide variety of ways to help women—sitting alongside them in court, giving a ride, taking them to a pantry or shelter, etc.

Jesus Christ literally saved her life by getting her free from her human trafficker.  She is most fulfilled when she is working with women to help them leave their old life of addiction, imprisonment, or abuse/trauma behind.

Nicole is always looking for ways to improve women’s lives— she requested and was granted approval to start an exercise class at the Y for trauma affected women—and is always on the lookout for ways to help them find and apply for services they need in taking care of themselves and their children.  Nicole has received additional training to help women in crisis through CHI Mercy Hospital, CASA, & DHS.

Nicole is available to speak to groups if you would like a survivor’s perspective.
